Hi all,

I'm headed down to the Moab area this weekend. I will be going down with a group of first-time climbers. I am looking for a good beginner's area near moab where we can do some mild sport routes or top-roping.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

-KS

I haven't been around Moab for a while but I seem to remember Wall Street, Sunshine Wall, as the Ice Cream Parlor as some places that offered easier, "sportier" climbing. Good luck and have fun!

Thanks Eric. Those look like just what I was hoping for, thanks!

Definitely Wall Street and the Potash road area. You might look into doing the Corona Arch Rappel. Little 5.3 climb up, double rope rap over thin air. Or the Looking Glass Arch south of town, also 5.4 climb, 3 pitch with anchors, double rope rap.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
