Hey all! Anyone up for climbing at Ceuse? I'll be in the area from Aug 31 through September 9, and I'd love to climb at Ceuse (or really any of the amazing looking places in the general southern-France area like Verdon Gorge, etc.) I'm planning on flying into Lyon and renting a car, so I'll have some flexibility, and I'll have a sport rack and rope.

Anyway, I would look forward to sharing a rope and meeting some new people. Feel free to let me know if you're interested. Best wishes! (Also, if it helps, my abilities are perhaps mid-range: I am fairly comfortable on anything up through 5.11 (6b+ to 7a) and can generally on-sight 5.12a (7a+), but with some real effort. After that, I'll probably need to do some hang-dogging and routes will likely take me multiple attempts; 5.12d (7c) is reasonably the top end of my limit right now). It's all fun. So, cheers! Hope to see you out there.

I live in La Clape Languedoc Roussillon France and also in London where I do urban climbing but having been home for the past two weeks have discovered that my area is filled with 330 climbing routes. I am looking for an experienced climbing partner who can introduce me to the amazing joys of slate between the 13 and 19th of October please do let me know if there is anyone in the area

many thanks

Hi Cristal, I don't think I can make your Oct dates but if you come over another time, let me know. I live in Andorra and have 25+ years climbing experience. It's always good to meet more climbers in my greater climbing area and I like getting to visit new crags. Also I have a British climbing friend who lives part of the year in Quillan who it might be interesting for you to know.
Ukclimbing.com is a good website/forum to look for climbing partners who speak English and are interested in climbing in France.

I live in Sicily. I'm an American. Have gear, can lead up to 5.12 sometimes. I'm willing to travel.

Hey guys,

I'm studying in France this fall until december. I'm a competent, safe climber. I'm down to climb any style, I've lead trad up to 5.10d. I have a 60m, draws, cordalettes, and personal gear.

Let me know if you want to meet one weekend, I have from thursday night to monday morning every weekend (plus some longer breaks).

Let's climb!

Jon

Yes, Jon! Let's! I'm anxious to see what the little journeys are like, flying from Sicily to the mainland! I've been climbing for 4 years. Very comfortable leading on bolts up to 5.12. Would like to build up the nerve to climb above more consecutive placements of trad gear! I love deep water soloing, as well! As for the rest of ya... I haven't forgotten about ya, I'll keep ya in my thoughts. When I'm in a position to travel away for a slightly extended period of time, say, a 4-day weekend, it's very possible you'll hear from me! And there's some good, dry climbing down here, too! Trapani is beautiful!

Hi everyone,

Just moved from Utah to Finland for two years. Bouldering is great here believe it or not but looking to break away for some sunshine this fall. Comfortable leading sport to 12- though harder 12s often take a lot of dogging. Also enjoy plugging gear and ice as well. Pretty easy/cheap for me to fly into Barcelona so looking into that avenue if I can find a partner. Mid to late October should be able to break away from school.

Cheers,

Mark

Paul, sounds great man. I'll pm you!

Mark, if you need a partner one weekend, let me know. I'm trying to hit up Montserrat, just outside of Barcelona, at some point. Open to lots!

Will do Jon. Montserrat looks awesome.

My dates are gonna be in the Oct 11-22 time window. Need to figure out transport, lodging, etc. Anyone have recommendations? Looks like I can get down there easily with Ryan air. Best to rent a car at the airport or how to get around? Was thinking Siurana also.

Hi I am heading to Ceuse this week. I hope to be there tomorrow (September 18) . I lead 11s and 12s are on the way again :) I will be in Ceuse for a week or two, I have a 70m rope and some draws. If anyone is looking for a partner, let me know.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
