New climber looking for partner in Yosemite

Hey all,

I'm a college student new to climbing but am eager to learn the "ropes" of outdoor climbing. I have only done indoor top-rope climbing (save for one top rope climb in Joshua Tree several years ago) and some indoor and outdoor rock climbing around Camp 4 in Yosemite Valley. I have a positive personality and am an active learner/listener. Looking for someone who is willing to mentor an amateur climber--I realize this is a long shot.

Looking to climb in Yosemite Valley (can take YARTS to the valley).

Thanks for reading,

Maya

Hi Maya

I don't know if this works for you. I'm visiting California 23rd Sept to 1st Oct, I will fly into San Francisco and rent a car. I've had one day before climbing in Yosemite and would love to return. I am a UK qualified instructor but this my holiday, I'd be happy to climb some nice easy multi pitch routes and show you the ropes. If your interested drop me a line srcahill@gmail.com Do you know if it is easy to camp in or close to the park? if that's a problem i'm open to other suggestions / locations.

Good luck with your climbing

Simon Cahill.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
