Hi all, I have been climbing for about a year now and am definately still a beginner. Ive been a little frustrated with finding resources on climbing techniques. Im not the most static of climbers. Ive googled it, but I think you get much better content from people, rather than a search engine. Books, videos, etc., are all welcome!! I appreciate it!
"Advanced Rock Climbing" by John Long is pretty good for beginning/intermediate climbers wanting to learn more about technique "Performance Rock Climbing" is a good book for training and mental control issues but not a lot of technique
I'd get The Rock Climber's Training Manual instead of Performance Rock Climbing. PRC is great but RCTM is the new standard. rockclimberstrainingmanual.…
The Self Coached Climber focuses on technique and does an excellent job explaining key movement concepts.
9 out of 10 Climbers Make the Same Mistakes has sections on movement that are insightful,, but much of the book may be too advanced to benefit a beginner.
