Is it just me? This is the slowest loading site I visit. It takes a solid minute for each page to load. I am assuming ( I am not tech savvy for troubleshooting) it is all the ads. I am using Chrome browser and Windows 7. Any suggestions?

My iPhone 4s loads everything just fine and I use the desktop site. Check your internet speed and make sure you're getting the speeds you pay your ISP for.

Running Firefox here and it loads. Some times the pictures of the moment take a little longer to load.

At work, I have the slowest-running possible IE 8. And the site will still load sub-10 seconds.

I track this pretty religiously. We deliver the full page HTML in about 200 milliseconds on average. It then should take a normal high-speed connection about 1.0 - 1.5 seconds to load all the resources in that page (javascript files, images, etc). There are many exceptions, especially for pages we don't cache very much (such as "What's New").

Over time, as traffic increases, we periodically get faster hardware and look for code optimizations to keep that delivery time in the ~200 millisecond time frame.

MP is hosted on Amazon servers in Virginia, so if you're not in the USA, things could be much worse, but in general, if it's taking many seconds to load MP, something is wrong with your connection or browser.
