Anyone know what weather conditions are like in late Oct at the Wild Iris? I'm assuming it is cold, but I can tolerate 40s-50s...possibility of snow/bitter cold? Just moved to Denver 6m ago so still not familiar with weather patterns out here. If it is too cold at the Wild Iris, any suggestions for a long weekend sport trip?

Its gonna be a crap shoot. If its good, it'll be *real* good. Like, highs in the 60s, lows in the 30s, low humidity, little precipitation. Basically ideal conditions. Or it'll be under a foot of snow. That's just the nature of the Rockies, the weather can and will make a big, unexpected, unpleasant change at the last minute. Honestly though, just head for Lander. If the snow drift just before the parking area is in, then you go climb at Sinks Canyon instead. If its raining, climb in Killer Cave.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
