Hey all,

I'm headed to Freyr next weekend, and I've heard it's a beautiful place but has well-polished classics.

You guys have any recommendations for climbs up to 6a/b (up to 5.10d/11a) that are a bit more out of the way/less polished?

Thanks guys!

Beauty is relative, Freyr is a reasonably attractive place in Belgium. Easy and unpolished are words which don´t go together at most popular Belgian crags I´ve visited.

I would recommend L'Hypothenuse

It's a classic multipitch in Freyr and has a nice view over the valley. After the first pitches the rock gets less polished. But yes, polish is a problem you'll have to deal with climbing at Freyr. (Also be aware that in some routes it is possible to make a groundfall between the 2nd and 3rd bolt).

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
