Visiting Climber - Looking for partner and hopefully a place to crash

Hey all,

Visiting SLC next week: Sep 2nd to Sep 11.

Looking to climb; sport (lead 5.9-10a) or trad (have followed 5.8 and lead 5.5). Won't be bringing anything other than harness/shoes/helmet/chalk due to airline bag fees.

Also, I was planning on AirBnBing it but that can get expensive. Would be SUPER appreciative of a place to crash for even a day or two. I can cook, clean, household/yard chores, somewhat of a handyman.

Feel free to comment or PM.

Thanks in advance!

Hey Ben,

I'll check with my roommate tonight but we have a spare bedroom. I live in Canyon Rim, ut (near Salt Lake). If he's cool with it you can crash. I'm a climber as well but work a 9-5 so usually get out evenings and weekends. I'll let you know.

Phil

Currently in Salt Lake. Still looking for trad partners and maybe a couch or two! Trying to sleep in my VW beetle will not be fun

I'll get out with ya. Not sure about this weekend. Thinking of fishing tomorrow afternoon and may do some fishing or hunting or climbing on Sunday. Have almost a double rack, rope, slings, blah blah. Lead 5.7 trad in Little Cottonwood confortably, would like to get on some 5.8s again. I'm more accustomed to the granite in LCC than the quartzite in BCC, but still lead in BCC, just not as often. I'm free next week after work. Generally leave work at around 5pm.

Hey Ryan,

That sounds great. Would love to join you on the river on Sunday if you don't mind. Not much of an angler but I'm okay with the basics. Feel free to text/call at the above number. Would love to get on rocks anytime
