Headed west

I am going to be in Bishop Sept30 & Oct 1. Can someone please give me advice on where to camp?
Also, would anyone be interested in climbing with me?

Camp at the trail heads the night before you climb or in the buttermilks. I may be available to climb but who knows. OMG you are going to be there for like a day and need advise. Do you have a living drive to climb?

I am passing through on my way to San Jose from Tennessee. I want to check it out for a day or two. I'm sure this won't be the only time I make it to Bishop. I am permanently moving to San Jose.

I'd stay in Bishop , not much climbing in San Jose .

Good place to mine gold and then go style yosemite with the finest of portaledges, tents, jugs, you name it, but seeing as how most climbers don't like sitting in traffic on 101....

A lot of people wannabe climbers, well they call them self climbers and then they move to the most stupid spots. Climbers don't move to stupid places miles away from climbing.

Pardon me, Climbz, but I believe the topic was "where should I camp?" not "Are my life decisions valid?"

I don't mind driving a few hours to climb, as I currently do now living in the southeast. So kindly shut the fuck up.

Hey Val , no biggie , you'll learn to do the 'Bay Area Bounce' , that's what I call the Friday getaway out to the mountains ... Castle Rock is near us , maybe 45 minutes , excellent bouldering in a cool forest , there's lead climbing too .

edit: hit me up when you get here if you need partners , the climbing gym in Sunnyvale is pretty nice ....

@ OP: You should check out The Pinnacles sometime too. The rock leaves something to be desired sometimes, but it's beautiful, and the climbing is fun. It's our best local crag. There are plenty of good routes there to keep you busy for a season getting out every weekend
