Gonna have one day at Independence pass at the end of Sept. I know weather may not cooperate that time of year at 12k. If you had one day that time of year where would you climb? I don't climb too hard 5.9-5.11b, tops. I appreciate any advice!
I would head to Lincoln Creek if you're looking for trad in the 5.9-5.11 range or Ptarmigan Creek if you're looking for sport up to 5.11. The aspen leaves should still have some color at that time of year and both these places have great climbing and scenery. Enjoy!
Lower grotto traverse to second grotto: Nose to plaque right to third grotto. The route with the stars. Can't remember name.
8 short pitches. Lots of sunshine. Super fun, a little adventurous. Zero approach. When you are finished you can crag at lower grotto if you want to climb more. Several routes 5.8 to 5.14.
