Does any one know if there is water up there, or do I have pack in my own as unpleasant as it sounds?

Thanks, Tom

Tom,

The snowpack runoff is very sparse or dry after mid-August usually. You may consider not camping, which is how I have done it. Start hike circa 4am and get to base of Cirque routes by 8am. That allows you to drop the camping stuff and replace it with water. Have a good time up there!

Seasonal snowpack...not a glacier...

Anyhoo...

You might have plenty of opportunity for water...based on the short term forecast. Some good spicy alpine mixed climbing conditions too:

This Afternoon Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. High near 58. Southwest wind 15 to 18 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
Tonight Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Low around 42. South southwest wind 9 to 14 mph becoming west northwest in the evening. Chance of precipitation is 100%.
Saturday Rain showers likely before noon, then rain and snow showers likely. Some thunder is also possible. Cloudy, with a high near 47. West wind 7 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.
Saturday Night A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 39. West wind around 11 mph.
Sunday A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 54. Southwest wind 7 to 9 mph.
Sunday Night A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy, with a low around 45.
Monday A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 54.

Tuesday A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 55.

If you go via the "Cherry Canyon Logging Trail" you can pick up your needed water at the spring more than halfway up. I don't know if the 2nd hammongog spring on the Alpine side still flows this late in the year.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
