Im relatively new to climbing. Did some indoor years ago but recently decided to pick up bouldering. Ive done some messing around on some small stuff but looking for some people to climb with and progress more in the sport

Alex, where in MA are you? I used to live, climb, and work all around MA and have pretty deep roots in parts of the climbing community there. I could potentially hook you up with some good folk.

Crow Hill has some bouldering but is more known for trad climbing. Sholan Farms on Pleasant Street has some good bouldering and short top roping in the woods behind the orchard. Bit hard to find but worthwhile. Also, Garfield Woods in Clinton/Berlin is about 25 min away and has lots of bouldering from V0-V4ish.....

^^ everything said above. Farley Ledge likewise has a lot of great bouldering from V0-V13+ and great roped climbing, but unfortunately no guidebook or beta anywhere online.

It's a bit of a hike, but the gyms in the Boston area, Rock Spot especially, are very welcoming to newcomers to the sport. Take a minute and check them out. You have a ton of great climbing near you, it will just be a challenge of finding folks to do it with and teach you the ways (as is the case anywhere)

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
