That said, we are passing through Bishop on a climbing trip and might do some bouldering in the buttermilks if we can rent some pads, since we can't bring our pad with us on the flight.
I don't think the Gear Exchange rents pads, but Eastside Sports (aka Wilson's) definitely does, $10/day is correct, open 9am to 9pm every day. Best idea is to rent a pad one afternoon/evening, and wake up early the next day to climb before it gets hot - you should only get charged for one day.
Above is a great option. Here is another option in case you want to climb in Tahoe too or other surrounding areas such as Yosemite. This is especially good for multi destination trips.
vEighteen is a company for rock climbers. We offer our customers delivered crash pad rentals. Pick the size of the crash pad and the delivery location. We will deliver to a hotel or apartment, or a meet-up spot. Anything we can do to help you get rad!
