It would be really nice if the energy on this thread stayed focused on Wayne and his healing. Come on Wayne we're all here for you.

Wayne is still in ICU, and we don't know anything much about his brain injury until the
swelling goes down (after 4 days or possibly more) to do an MRI to see brain function.
Doctors say he is stable for now...

Come on buddy! I am thinking of you almost all day, everyday! Hope the energy is making it to you!

Thinking of you and your family each and every day. Heal up, Dr. Thrill!

Encouraging news. Nevertheless I am sitting here thining about falling 30 feet onto my leg 19 months ago and how it changed my life forever, and how Wayne fell much further on his shoulder and head, and how unfair it is of me to hope Wayne just wakes up and walks out of that hospital. I was in the hosiptal for 50 days with a far less severe injury. So while we all hold out hopes Wayne will regain his whole fantastic life in no time, we must be prepared to support him over the long haul and accept that he has to fight his way back and it won't be quick or easy. I can say from experience that having friends in the recovery process is a Godsend because there are some dark and dificult moments. So I hope we can all maintain our concern through the whole process. He'll need it. I sure did, and I was never more proud to be a climber when I got it.

Wayne. We have never met but have crossed paths a few times. In fact, we were headed to Peanuts the morning of your accident but changed our minds last minute. Wishing you the very best in your recovery.

Many climbers thinking of you Wayne! I met you briefly (I think it was at Eldo) and hope to see you recover and return to the rock when you're ready.

There's always the new Grivel twin-gate carabiner or whatever it's called. To this point, I thought it a needless complication - might have to re-think that opinion...

Best to Wayne for a full recovery. Sending lots of positive thoughts and energy to him and family/friends.

Nice, Lauren. Wayne is a good friend to so many as exemplified in the camaraderie of Chris, Kevin and Wayne in your pic. Love it.

His fatherhood of Kaiden with Tess wrought many changes in him and his family rose in his priorities appropriately. It was as powerful a performance as any Dr. Thrill FA.

Jale dura, hombre!

Hang in there, Wayne. Best wishes to you and your family.

Wayne was wearing a helmet.. And that would probably not be the case if it were not for his belayer…
The belayer requested Wayne to put it on. Wayne had seemingly forgot… Belayer is a hero for that!!!

Cor Is there anything we all can do to help the family? Maybe some sort of beer night or something to raise money to support his family during this difficult time? Or shit, just a way to donate straight up, or something. I'm sure all these "best wishes" are helpful and all, but it would be great if this community could get together to offer some sort of tangible assistance.
