Encouraging news. Nevertheless I am sitting here thining about falling 30 feet onto my leg 19 months ago and how it changed my life forever, and how Wayne fell much further on his shoulder and head, and how unfair it is of me to hope Wayne just wakes up and walks out of that hospital. I was in the hosiptal for 50 days with a far less severe injury. So while we all hold out hopes Wayne will regain his whole fantastic life in no time, we must be prepared to support him over the long haul and accept that he has to fight his way back and it won't be quick or easy. I can say from experience that having friends in the recovery process is a Godsend because there are some dark and dificult moments. So I hope we can all maintain our concern through the whole process. He'll need it. I sure did, and I was never more proud to be a climber when I got it. |

Wayne. We have never met but have crossed paths a few times. In fact, we were headed to Peanuts the morning of your accident but changed our minds last minute. Wishing you the very best in your recovery. |

Cor Is there anything we all can do to help the family? Maybe some sort of beer night or something to raise money to support his family during this difficult time? Or shit, just a way to donate straight up, or something. I'm sure all these "best wishes" are helpful and all, but it would be great if this community could get together to offer some sort of tangible assistance. |
