New in Boulder need partners!

Hi all,

I moved to Boulder recently and I'm looking for reliable, safe (and fun!) partners. I join you via Austin, where I learned to climb. I love all types of climbing, though since Austin is almost exclusively a sport area, I haven't gotten as much experience placing gear as I would like. I do own everything that I need, save for micro cams at the moment.

Back in TX I was redpointing 12a/b; I've followed in Eldo up to 10c/d but I'm certainly not opposed to harder stuff. Or easier - I've had a total blast on some of the 5.6 routes there. And yes, I do enjoy bouldering but I'm only in the V6 range right now. I've never climbed ice, but I'm sure I'd dig that too.

I belay well and, though I love to push myself, I'm not yet one of those guys who gets stoked about putting up X-rated routes at his limit. As far as availability, I can climb after work pretty much any day and my weekends are fully open.

Zack. You climb a bit harder than me, I don't lead any harder that 10 trad, 11a/b sport. I would still be stoked to climb sometime in Sept/Oct (I am out of town in Aug). I have some selfish reasons for wanting to climb, I am hopefully moving to San Antonio/Austin area and I would love to hear about the climbing there.

Welcome. I'd be down to climb sometime, though I am still wet behind the ears a little bit. I have mostly trad experience in the 9s, but I want to do the 10s. Sport is a few letter grades better at best. That's leading. I'll follow anything. I've spent most of my time in RMNP and Boulder Canyon.

I used to live in Austin before I climbed, I've heard about it from a friend and it sounds like some place I should go.

Hey Zack,

Always looking for motivated and competent partners. I climbed a lot at Reimers in the two years I was in TX, so I can relate. I'm working some sport stuff at the moment (similar difficulty to your experience), but will be transitioning back to trad and such in the next few weeks. I'm looking for a partner for tomorrow morning:

Any interest? Welcome to CO!

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
