Need motivated climbing partners.

The real crux of any climbers career is finding reliable partners.
I'm looking for individuals who climb every weekend with little exception, have a job and can chip in for gas, willing to climb long routes and jump on new stuff all the time. People who like to explore new areas and put up new routes. People who can lead 5.10 anything if not 5.11 anything. Not afraid of running it out a little. Sorry, not looking to really "train" anyone, but if you're only a 5.10+ climber don't be shy, you'll be climbing .11+ with me in no time. People confident in simul climbing up to maybe 5.10 would be a major plus.

Basically anyone who climbs anywhere from 5.10+ to 5.12, mostly trad and never misses a Saturday and Sunday.

Sound like you, send me an email.

No one huh?

Well, let me refine it a bit then.

Basically, if you can scratch your way up mid 5.10 in a reasonable amount of time, are motivated to climb on the big stuff, psyched to climb harder stuff, don't piss yourself when you get into the dirty junky stuff and just stoked to be climbing whenever you can, then give me a jingle.

I don't mind leading then dragging your ass up the harder pitches if that's what it takes;)

hahaha I'm down. I'll only be in the Bay until the end of September but until then I'm gonna have a lot of free time and I'm really psyched to be climbing as much as I can and to push myself to do harder/more adventurous climbs.
Sent you a PM

I agree the crux is finding reliable partners. I'm in the same boat - just different grade level.

Your description fits me on the psyched to climb every weekend part, but your grade goal is too hard for me just yet.

If you feel like having an easy moderate day with a smiling motivated partner (who's trying to break into the 10s as a solid follower, but only leads very easy stuff), drop me a note.

Happy partner hunting!

New to the Bay Area and looking to get a lot of climbing in. Got a car and money for gas. However I'm not super experienced climber. I climb typically 5.10+ 5.11 indoors at mission cliffs. Looking to climb harder routes and learn more about trad/lead outdoor climbing. If your interested let me know

I can give you two weekends a month and I can get up mid level 10's I have been looking for a motivated partner who climbs at my level or above. Obscure dirty routes do not bother me either. Let's talk.

I currently have a lot of time on my hands, both weekends and weekdays. Love Tuolumne and the Tahoe crags, but game to check out some new places. Pretty all-around love for rock climbing here; big routes, little routes, slab, steep, cracks, face... not a big fan of choss, but can deal when it's necessary. This weekend I'm only available for some single-pitch cragging, since I'll have my (well-behaved) dog with me, if anyone is interested.

I'm down to climb. I have a job. I can play for gas. 11b is my current favorite grade. I have 4 days off a week, sometimes these days do not fall weekends. As you said, if you climb with me, you will climb harder in the future. I like that.

I'm in Sac and I work in Davis. I'm a M-F emplyee, and I get outside 2-3 weekends a month. I'm pretty new to the area so I'm not super knowledgeable about all the local climbing areas, but I have been climbing mostly at Donner and Lovers Leap more recently. Always up for trips to Yosemite (headed to Tuolumne this weekend). I'm pretty competent leading 5.9 trad of most styles and lengths and will lead low-mid 10's if the commitment factor is lower ie probably not going to lead a 10 pitch 10c..but I'll happily and competently follow the crux pitches and lead the rest. Been climbing for >15 years and am happy to drive, pay for gas and consider myself reliable. If you want to check up on my tick list, you can check it out on RC.com (never got around to making one on MP) and I think it'll give you an idea of what I've been climbing.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
