Small updates:

Relocated Honeymooners from Tin Can Alley to Honeymooner's Wall.

Deleted "Ovarian Fortitude and Brass Nutz" at the Left Hand Wall upon request from the submitter. There was route confusion.

Modified Quickdraw McGraw. It is 1 pitch not 3.

Reassigned three routes at the Boneyard to myself, replaced the insufficient descriptions, removed no longer relevant comments, and added two beta photos.

The replaced descriptions were:

Bad To The Bone

Bad To The Bone - Old Description

Bone Ami
Bone Ami - Old Description

Buried Alive
Buried Alive - Old Description

I intended to make further updates to Bone Ami shortly.

In general I prefer to not edit existing content; however, in this case the contributions were so bad, no one else volunteered, and I spoke with a member of the FA party.

Good job John. I would have been glad to post these, but it's been so long since I did them that I don't remember much about the climbing.

Thanks John, those pages will be way better now!

Upon realizing admins can add guidebooks I added Squeezing The Lemmon II. I will likely add more guidebooks (both in and out of print) as time allows. Guidebooks are now recursively added to sub- and meta- sections due to a code fix implemented by Nick Wilder.

Removed 'Grade V' from the routes at Ireland. This is the alpine climbing grade not the free climbing grade. Grade V means "Requires a day and a half; the hardest pitch is usually 5.8 or harder".

Removed a discussion under Cozzetti Steps Out per the originator's request. In general I prefer to not meddle in arbitrating discussions, especially in this instance where the conversation was civil and informative.

Yeah, I almost asked to have that conversation left up as it was on a route that is in an area which will be visited by many new climbers who could have read the discussion and gained an understanding of that topic.

Personally, I have gained a good understanding of many local climbing topics by reading similar "threads" that were in the comments section for a particular climb. I also see how this is "clutter," but I think that clutter is sometimes full of valuable info.

Oh well.

Thanks for all of your work, transparency, and responsiveness!

Yeah, it's entertainment if nothing else.

If you are inclined please review the changes and offer comments publicly or privately. Is the breakdown logical? Does it add clarity?

Thanks!

Reassigned and updated the description to The Fortress. Additionally embedded three photos to help with the approach. Feedback is welcome. Thanks.

Sorted the The Ravens area of Mount Lemmon. The routes are now roughly sorted from Raven A to Raven D. The ordering remains imperfect due to multiple aspects and features. If you have any corrections or suggestions please share.

Added four guidebooks

  • Backcountry Rockclimbing in Southern Arizona
  • Climbers Guide to Sabino Canyon and Mount Lemmon Highway
  • Isolation Canyon Climbing Guide
  • Jacks Canyon Sport Climbing

I additionally sorted the remaining routes at Jacks Canyon.

Broke Green Slabs Area into two sections: Green Acres (North Face) and Green Slabs (South Face). Wrote descriptions for the new subsections; relocated and sorted the routes.

I mistakenly deleted Missing the Action thinking it was identical to Missing in Action. Apparently they are different routes. In my defense the descriptions were nearly identical. I apologize.

The layout of this crag is a bit of mystery. Hence any insight would be appreciated. Post up comments here in the forum or message me. I am also willing to reassign the area if someone wants to write a better description.

Renamed Rivendell. While it is listed as Rivendale in Squeezing The Lemmon II, I believe this is a typo. The Lord Of The Rings and a comment from the main developer suggest the spelling is Rivendell. Please correct me if I am mistaken.

I broke Big Pine Towers into two sections and reassigned them. Breaking the main area into two sections makes sense as, if memory serves, it is difficult to switch between the two sides. I kept the sections at the same level rather than making them subsections to avoid too many levels. That said I can see the arguments for all combinations.

From the description it sounds like Labor Daze belongs on the West Face. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I updated Schroedinger's Cat to be 'Sport' and added the FA information.

Thanks to the community for the suggestions and corrections.

After a day of climbing at Rollinstone, I made the following updates:

  • Sorted Crazy Eight and Trust Your Paws.
  • Switched Falsie from 'Sport' to 'Trad' and 'Toprope'. Updated description to reflect the need for gear.
  • Deleted 'Dime Climb' as the route had no description and does not appear to exist.
Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
