|
CRAZY huh? |
|
it's obvious he doesn't know what he's got but that doesn't mean he stole it. he could have also got it at a yard sale, inherited it, his ex room mate left it behind, found it, goodwill, or he could have acquired it in any number of other ways. you don't flag stuff for being too expensive, you put it on MP and make fun of it. |
|
I have to realize that I am an asshole, because I'm on the make fun of these bandwagon, but when I sell anything on CL I almost double my price. That way when I get 12 responses in a row, effectively "Would you sell for half?" I'm like.... "I guess so.... (mission accomplished)" I also don't expect to get full price for used gear. Used gear is 40% off minimum, price goes down from there depending on condition. |
|
most people ask more than they will actually take, that's the way the game is played.the people getting mocked here are asking double what its worth brand new or are trying to sell absolute junk, including the latest victim of the MP Merry Mockers. |

raleigh.craigslist.org/spo/… Great deal here for 200+ feet of rope, precoiled(more or less)!!!

Michael Plesser wrote:http://raleigh.craigslist.org/spo/4602756946.html Great deal here for 200+ feet of rope, precoiled(more or less)!!!They're asking for $150 OBO for a Misty Mountain crash pad, what's probably a 60m rope, and some random draws/biners/lockers/webbing. Seeing as Misty Mountain crash pads are $250 new, $150 seems like a pretty great deal. Did you miss the sarcasm of this thread? |

Did you miss the sarcasm of this thread? While the pad seems legit I was more noting the description of 200+ feet of rope that looks like it may not have been stored quite right... The pad may be fine but throwing in the rope and "hardware" seems unfortunate. |

crap-bike price inflation has been rampant on CL (at least on the west coast) for the better part of a decade. i remember seeing some "track bike fixxxie urban singlespeed" FS posts that put these climbing gear ads to shame. |

Paid $1575 asking $800. I'm pretty sure you could get all of this brand new for that much.. or maybe even less. |

Revived, any more unbelievable deals? Has anyone noticed how many of the portable rock walls are for sale? That seems to be a very tough business model |
