Gear Sale Thread

Anyone know of a site with a good gear sale going on? gearexpress.com just ended their last sale, so I'm looking for a site that has a good sale (ideally site wide 20-25% off). Coupon codes that give 20-25% off everything would also be great.

Also, please update this over time, as I'm sure we all have the occasional need to buy gear. These sales can really make it a lot easier to justify the purchase (yes, I'm having trouble justifying my 5th pair of shoes).

The deals section of the site kind of does that already, but a quick google search, Moosejaw. Only the fifth pair of shoes?! Hahaha I just added like 3 more this week. Gotta love amazon.

The shoes I'm after are full price on Moosejaw. I had checked there already, but thanks for the effort.

No problem, what shoes are you looking at?

Sportiva Solutions and TC Pros. I actually just got the Solutions in the old design for $133 which is about 25% off so that's awesome! And I found it via the deals section, so thanks.

I still think it would be nice to keep this up to date when good sales happen. Like on Memorial Day campsaver.com had a sitewide sale plus a coupon code that you could combine for an insanely cheap price! It was awesome.

BTW Moosejaw claims the Solutions are on sale on their site, but it must be for a size that's out of stock because it's not as cheap as they say.

Just got a flyer in the mail today actually. mountaingear is having an anniversary sale for a week or so. Go check it out, lots of good deals on everything

Awesome! Not a bad deal on Solutions. Not sure what size you are but amazon has tc pros for $116.99 in some sizes. Just check both the colors.

Ryan West I also got that flyer but didn't see coupons or the things I wanted on sale.

Andrewwwww, thanks again! You're saving me tons of dollars! I had been on Amazon before and looked at 38 which I wanted for the TC Pro, and the price was just OK. I ended up going up to $39 for the $116 shoe. I'm a street 40 so hopefully that's not too big. I want it to be comfy anyway.

This is a bit of a duplicate thread to the one I started earlier this year for some deal ideas: mountainproject.com/v/gear-… Doesn't seem to be a lot of consistent interst in a deal thread on this forum but more power to you if you can keep one going.

Also...

An alternative approach would have been:
Use the click-through activejunky for 10% cash-back
Pricematch Amazon to Moosejaw at $116
Get 1000 pts for the pricematch from moosejaw
Get 580 pts for the purchase from moosejaw
Use shoprunner to order and get free 2 day shipping AND free returns

That gives you the shoes for $88.60 (Subtracting the points value towards a future purchase) and free returns if they don't fit.

Just an idea :)

Sierra Trading Post has a sale ending today with some exclusions, but it looks like it can be 20% off even on top of sale items. Code SITEMID714

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
