I will be travelling solo from AR to RMNP from 7/26 to 8/3. As camping is pretty expensive, especially for one person, I am looking for someone/people to share the camping fee with. I usually just sleep in my car, so even if you just have a parking spot thats all i need.

I was just planning on bouldering as I am travelling alone, but I have trad and sport gear if anyone needs a rope partner for that week.

Guys...this is colorado. National forests abound. Camp for free.

Do an advanced search for "camping estes park" or "camping boulder" in the forums.

This should get your started. Plus there is more camping on Hwy 7; in nederaland, allenspark / the ironclads. The only thing you need to really know is you need permits for the indian peaks backcountry.

There's disbursed camping not far from the Beaver Creek entrance, as well.

Quick question: do you need a permit for camping in the free forestry lands? If so, how do you obtain one?

Nope

Only the backcountry stuff in the Indian peaks. The rest of it is off forest service roads and is free.

Sometimes it might add 15 minutes or so to your drive, but you'll enjoy the camping experience high up and away from the main areas. Keep in mind that firearms are allowed in these areas.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
