Tahquitz accident 7/12

I was hiking around Humber park this morning and heard a bunch of sirens and saw numerous rescue vehicles, a helicopter flew over an hour or so later. I'm can't say for sure if it was related but we heard what sounded like rockfall a short time before the rescue vehicles arrived coming from the direction of lily rock (best I could tell). This is on the local TV station site:

kesq.com/news/hiker-found-d…

The article says hiker but one of the rescue workers told me it was a climber they were rescuing.

Anybody know what happened?

Major rock fall. Climbers were on Sahara terror. Not a good day. One fatality. That being said, it could have been a lot worse. From pitch 5 of whodunit we could see 5 or 6 others either climbing or hanging out directly below the party climbing Sahara. My thoughts go out to the family and friends of the climber.
