Ground/solo fall video
Not sure if this has been posted... but worth seeing |
This was Rock & Ice's "weekend whipper" last weekend. |
Ahh weekend whipper. I guess I should ask on the mp layout thread, but why was Rock and Ice news removed from the homepage a little while back? |
We need weekend whipper on homepage here. |
MP used to have the weekend whipper as a weekly link under the Rock & Ice headlines a couple months ago. Not sure why it is no longer on the MP homepage, maybe a contract expiration between R&I and MP? But you can easily check it out at rockandice.com |

A word to the wise: don't ever use your smartphone to shoot video in portrait mode. |
Yeah, but that ominous wind, and lonely call of the gull kind of lend to the suspense. Shoulda had a gopro, as well |

How do you know he didn't have a crash pad? |

Out of curiosity, did anyone else notice that the video jumps shortly after the fall. Notice the discontinuity in the cloud formation starting at about 2:06 into the video. With how slow the clouds are moving early in the video, there appears to be some reasonable amount of time missing between the fall and casual walk away. |

But that's almost secondary to shooting video in portrait and triplicating the vid, as if we wouldn't notice your sin that way...I agree with both points, though based on the intro it is probably safe to assume that the line was TR clean several times previously and offers no protection "How not to climb E10". |

"...with perfect climbing technique ...". Obviously not perfect enough. |
