Hey guys,
What's the best guidebook (books) for the Tahoe vicinity? I'm looking for beginner/moderate trad and sport climbs in both north and south. I know I can search MP, but I like having the physical book for personal reasons and to support the author. Thanks for your help!

The supertopos tend to concentrate people on a small number of climbs, so use the star ratings on MP to find the "almost as good" classics that have 1/10th the people on them. But this is hard to beat for first-timers to the area.

The old standard, and quite mediocre...

There is also a book just about Big Chief, a sport climbing area across the Truckee River from Squaw, but I can't find a link.

Thanks Nick. Much appreciated!
