New for Summer 2014 is a $25 per night backcountry fee...BUT, this week the computers are down (for at least a week I was told) as the fiber optic cable was cut. So for the time being the permits are back to being free. Enjoy.

It is.actually $25 per.permit, no matter how many nights or sites or people. Plus all the $$$ supposedly stays in grand.teton park. This year it is funding trash pickup at the campgrounds on the Grassy Lake road.

Word is that $23 stays in the park of the $25 total. Where is Grassy Lake Road? never heard of it?

Grassy Lake.road.cuts through the jdr from near.flagg ranch to ashton Idaho. Really cool wild hardly known, mostly gravel.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
