Mississippian Marble?

Random question - are there any walls in the wasatch with routes on marble? I investigated the obvious outcrop of the rock in big cottonwood (around mile 9) and it seems like it would be real fun to climb.

Any info appreciated.

Hell Gate is Limestone...

Flakey Limestone. Albeit a great sport destination to go to, but always bring a helmet.

Kyler R- Do you know what marble is? Allow me to help. It is limestone that has been altered by heat and or pressure- i.e. metamorphosed. The hell gate area is full of it. Look at the main hellgate wall/cliff from the LCC highway- its completely altered- see those giant swirls and streaks? This alteration even creates the "flakey" attributes. This limestone was altered mainly by the intrusion of the "alta stock"- what we climbers know as the quartz monzonite that we love and call LCC granite. Altered mississippian limestone = mississippian marble. Check a geologic map.

Also I'm fairly certain Bret Ruckman Studied geology too... this route name is not an accident:
