Permits over July 4th into Inyo-Charlotte Dome Area

Anyone with two extra permits available for 4th of July weekend?
Knowing this is kind of late to ask but someone may have decided
to back out. Just Asking!

Not sure which trailhead you're starting from, but the Inyo National Forest usually saves about 40% of the permits for "walk-in." They would be available as early as 11 AM the day before. So not all the permits would be reserved.

You are right I'd forgotten about this alternative. Got a Friend in Bishop that can probably go down to the Visitors center on the Thursday before we want to leave.
