How to get from Fresno to Yosemite?

Getting to Fresno tonight, need to get to the valley the cheapest way possible.

I was told to take a bus to Merced and then another one to Yosemite... Is this the cheapest way? Isn't there a direct bus from Fresno?

Where do I get on these buses?

Any one maybe driving through and can pick me up?

Ok. Scretch that... I'm in fresno now and wants to get to Yosemite the FASTEST way possible. What do I do?

Put your thumb out until you get to highway 41 north of town. Put your thumb out on the 41 until you're in Yosemite. Many have succeeded at this, I've even made it to the less visited Kings Canyon this way.
