Think that was the title,,Valley Uprising , or Yosemite Rising,,something by John Long was promoted at ReelRock Tour 8 last fall, as being 'released' in spring of 2014. Not sure if it's making the rounds of climbing gyms, etc. or going straight to DVD..Has anyone heard anything about it lately? I see nothing anywhere, not in mags, nothing about it. Looking forward very much to getting a DVD copy of this sort of history of the Stonemasters and their antics and events of those great years of the 70-80's...
Appreciate any links or updates on it.

Seems dead...but knowing Reel Rock / Sender Films, it'll get done.

That's sad to hear,,,that it will be delayed almost a year until late next fall. Was hoping to find it within months, for a summer showing and total enjoyment.

Already have tickets to the premiere in Boulder on Sept. 11th! Should be fun.

Wait, so is this the only film for Reel Rock 9?? I'd be kinda bummed about that. I've seen enough "Yosemite Golden Age" spotlights that it seems like everything has already been discussed ad nauseum. Not to mention there was like a 15-plus minute trailer at least year's reel rock. How much more can there be?

No,,I'm sure ReelRock has the usual 3 or 4 subjects in their film.

EDIT::: YUP,,,ReelRock now says this is a feature film, of 90 minutes I hear. Will be main part of the tour,,and film has now spread out to include all of Yosemite rock history, not just the Stonemasters' as it was first set up to be about..So I'm guessing ALOT of the old stuff I was hoping for will be tossed on the editing floor and substituted with Tommy and others with more recent Valley ascents making up most of the film.. Why? Because of the crowd they play to...a youth group that wont' sit for old farts using bongs on aid routes. So the film I was hoping for I'm guessing is gonna be gone...shoved aside due to pressure to make sales and get the younger climbers interested in it,,,more than a historic film of the Stonemasters as the idea originated...Just my wild guess,,so keep checking the previews they 'leak' out on Facebook for the latest idea of this film.
I had been asking and begging for info for a year, and have got NOWHERE, until just this week. So I have no hope of the 'truth' coming out,,just a watered down story to fill in that will please the masses, not give us a full history. Sucks to be mislead for a whole year about this release.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
