How has the legalization of marijuana affected climbing in CO, if at all?
|
I'm curious what people in CO think about how, if at all, the legalization of marijuana has affected climbing there. Any thoughts? |
|
A sample of at least 1 suggests that we now get more "ground scores." |
|
Same as it ever was..... |
|
There are significantly fewer criminals climbing, which is nice. |
|
Less harassment of climbers by cops. |
|
Super fucking crazy man! People are smoking pot at the crag now! |

A lot of Twinkie and Snickers wrappers at the crag. |

It the other states that are going off on the poor colorado tags! Cops are profiling the shit out of coloradoans that I dont want to set foot in utah again the way it is now. I dont want to change my license plates its so bad! Nebraska,Idaho,Illinoise,oh yeah not to mention AZ& NV the cops zero in on green plates! |

As far as I can see, and I see far , Colorado has become inundated with ; Lazy , Un-motivated , Pot heads barely making it out the door let alone climbing , it sure is a sad state |

Old folks are even complaining on the local news shows about getting searched for no cause. BTW I have wyo plates. Thats whats up!!This sucks. I don't partake but I'm driving cross-country and back this summer, through CO both ways, with CO plates and wondering if it'll cause additional hassle. |

There are pot plants on craigslist now... that is all I've noticed in general. |

Legalization has made the tiresome spectacle of hiding it a thing of the past. Also, it has made usage boring. Two great developments if you ask me. |

Thats whats up!!Yeah, I just moved to Utah last fall but have heard about the new tactics on I-70. Supposedly (this is through the grape vine, but from more than one direction) Utah increased there Highway Patrol numbers last fall to add a few more cars to the Green River area. But, what else would you expect from this state? Seriously, they barely let real beer across their border. Thank heavens for Evanston, WY. |

I can add to the license plate harassment comments for sure, I own several vehicles with both Texas and Colorado plates ( I run a guide service based in Colorado 1/2 the year and Texas 1/2 the year). We get WAY MORE hassle from the infamous West Texas cops when driving back and forth in the vehicles with Colorado plates than we ever do in the vehicles with Texas plates. Profiling is alive and well in West Texas......... |

I lived in WV for years, speeding everywhere, never got a ticket with WV plates, now if I come back and visit with my NY plates, I regularly get pulled over, even if I'm only going 5 over. |

The nebraska cops have big orange & black signs warning of blockade ahead then when people pull off interstate to dump thats when they bust you!! Right past border their not profiling??? |

Did anyone START smoking pot because it was made legal? I don't imagine that legalization increased usage rates at all. Especially in the woods or at the crags. |

SAME !!! Nothing has really changed at the crags. |
