Description Suggest change

Heart Rock is the first big conglomerate formation in the canyon, appearing on the north side of the road. The large overhanging arete that forms its south face is in the shape of a giant heart. Changing the Stripes ascends a major arete a stone's throw to the southwest of Heart Rock proper. This is an area that sees relatively little climbing traffic, but holds a few adventure climbing gems.

Getting There Suggest change

Park at a pullout on the north side of the road approximately 0.5 miles from the mouth of the canyon, and 200-300 yards below Anti-Gravity Rock.
Some bushwhacking is required to approach any of the routes; you may choose to follow the approaches outlined in route descriptions or to make your own way. Plan on 10-15 minutes or less to approach.
