Hey MP land, I didn't see a post on it yet but as mentioned here the Webers are gifting Muir Valley to climbers. Exciting, no?

...Yeah I think so too.

They are making the gift dependent upon us raising the necessary funds to cover maintenance and operating costs. So that said, I just wanted to post this up to get more visibility. I remember Muir valley being pretty incredible and it seems the Webers have done a lot for the community. Let's donate!

Thanks for posting this Steve, I don't know how I missed it.

There is cool video just out about the transfer of ownership here

This is great news and is the culmination of the hard work done by Friends of Muir Vally and the Access Fund.

If you have ever climbed at Muir Valley or plan to, please donate. This is the year.

Bumping this thread because I didn't hear anything about it until now...

The money was raised and the land donated! Huge thanks to Rick and Liz Weber! I think anyone who has climbed or even hiked in this area would agree it's an amazing place.

Ok, warm fuzzy post over.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
