Birthday Challenge

I just turned 30 and I thought it might be cool to climb 30 classics.
I'm looking for moderate multi-pitch mainly. But Let's not close the door to anything.

Have any suggestions? I live in Quebec, so anything in a 20 hours drive radius would be acceptable, as long as it's worth the drive/trip!

I think you could do 30 classics of a moderate grade just b/w Cannon, Whitehorse, and Cathedral. Toss in a couple others at Rumney too (if you don't mind single pitch bolt clipping), or some alpine routes on Mt Washington for full value.

30 IN A DAY?

Soler, ecstasy, nubiles, conns east, gunsight direct, etc etc depending on level you climb. Spend a weekend at Seneca rocks knock out 7-10 classics

Chapel Pond slab? Rogers Rock? Maybe not classic but worth doing.

Not thirty in a day. More like a tick-list for the next year, so the climbs may be somewhat of spread over a couple of weekends / weeks of climbing.

Why dontcha drink a 30 rack in one day as a B-day challenge.

If you want an "in a day" partner I'm in NYC for the next week and would love to go for it! I'm also looking for partners for any other reason. Please let me know if you'd like to rope up.

30 should mean all daylight so long as we don't lollygag too much. I've had 30p days at indian creek & eldorado canyon and am keen to climb until we get benighted.

You can tally up 30 pitches in a day in the chapel pond area of the Adirondacks if you're very quick and efficient.

In last year's 24HHH, someone climbed way more than 200 routes in 24 hours, so I'm sure you could knock out 30 pitches or short routes without too much trouble if you're in shape and psyched. I've never personally done 30 in a day though, and would be pretty impressed with myself if I did. I'm sure you'd sleep well after!

Every Weissner Route in the Adirondacks or NH. Nearly all classics, all moderate (to easy, but you can always climb them in boots like the first ascent).
