Hi All! We (2 recent college grad girls) have bought a trusty purple truck and we are setting out from Montana headed south/west for at least a summer (and likely much longer) of climbing and exploring. We have great and big ideas...BUT we are overwhelmed with options and we need some help! We are looking for climbs (beginner/intermediate sport in the 5.7-5.10 range) in specifically the WY, CO, NM, UT, area (and really anywhere else in the south/west region). We realize that it is a large area, and we realize it is HOT OUT THERE, so that is why we are asking all of you for the best recommendations you can give us to get us going! We have spent hours reading and ooogeling over amazing entries in mountain project.. ten sleep, boulder, red rocks, taos, moab.....and on and on! Can you help us out?!
The 4th of july celebration at 10 sleep is a great it will be crowded at least 100+ people at main camp for sure, Aaron huey & charlie are great guys I had so much fun there a couple years ago I decided to move from tetons to front range. Then lander climbers fest this year alex honnell, conrad anchor, lynn hill all there you wont be dissapointed I guarenty, Hell who knows maybe ill do that tour again. Temps are warm but you can chase shade easy. You will meet a lot of folks that way!!! Those 2 weeks could set up the rest of your summer. Oh the uintahs in ut & city of rocks for labor day would be my choices then!
