question about cilogear 30L worksack?

I'm considering getting a cilogear 30L. I'm not buying the dyneema one but is it worth it to pay extra for the supposed extra durability of the guide model or is the basic model durable enough? There is small amount of money and weight savings in the latter.

Thanks

I have the basic and works fine. No structural issues yet with 3 years use, about 15 days a year.

I have a regular 40B worksack that I have been using constantly (2-3 days a week) for almost a year now. There is one tiny hole in the crampon pocket where my crampons punched through. Outside of that, it still looks new.

If you've got a ton of money to burn, I'm sure the dyneema options would be nice. IMHO, the regular is good enough for use mere mortals, though.

The regular should be fine unless you are really hard on your packs. I have had some small holes after a few years which I'm pretty sure were caused by climbing gear (for example, nut tools) working from inside the pack. I started tossing my rack into a stuff sack and the small amount of extra protection from the sack seemed to prevent any further wear.

Ive got a woven dyneema 20L pack and have snagged it on barbed wire while using it as a hydration pack while cycling and it was barely scratched. The material is extraordinarily durable.

I've had my NWD 30L going on the 5th season. One hole punched in it on a trip to Red Rocks three years ago, patched it with Cuban fiber...never been an issue...can't even see it. Bomb proof pack...well worth the money IMHO.

Thanks for the responses! I ended up getting the basic model. Seems great so far.
