Description Suggest change

Several small crags with bolted routes on slightly overhung edgy rock. Routes are generally in the 5.11 to 5.12- range. It is on the Mt. Persis approach road just before Index. Very solid rock, and very well bolted pumpy routes.

There are some boulders right next to the cliff that would likely have some good problems if they were scrubbed.

Getting There Suggest change

From Highway 2 heading east, go past Goldbar and Zekes. Just after the passing lane ends, look for Forest Service road 62 on the right(a few miles before the Index turn off). The road goes up and left through a gate. Continue up past a gated turnoff on the left (goes to Mine Wall) and a turnoff on the right. Soon thereafter, the road levels out(maybe 3 miles from US 2). Look for a pullout on the right side near a leftward bend in the road and park here. Walk just 50-100 yards further up the road and take the obvious trail on the right side. The trail is an old road, really level and wide. The crag is hidden in the trees a couple hundred yards on the right side down this trail.
