If you pass through La Paz, I'd be happy to show you the local sport climbing area at Aranjuez or drive an hour to the granite crags at Zongo where there are some good routes and tons more waiting to be done.

Valle de las Rocas is immense with huge potential. You might also want to check out Chalkupunku, also a large area with limited development. There is another huge area without a name past Chalkupunku towards Chile which you can see from the road.

Here's just one of thousands of unclimbed boulders:

There is some good trad climbing on Pico Milluni near Hyuana Potosi and in the Quimsa Cruz.

But really Bolivia shines for mixed routes between 5,000m-6,400m on the many unclimbed faces of the mountains. It's much less known than Peru so hasn't had nearly the development and, other than 3-4 routes, you'll never see anyone in the mountains.

Hi, I know the guys which will get you to to the valle de las rocas pretty well. www.el-salar-de-uyuni.com.

For the rest of Bolivia, this might be of hlep. www.andeanascents.com

as they provide transport to the remote places, maps, gps tracks, etc...

All the best. Enjoy Bolivia !

Alex knows the area very well, including a lot of places where no one ever goes with huge potential.

Hm, I've been to Bolivia and all I saw was choss :)

Could it be there are some clean faces I never knew existed? All I saw was chossy andesite and tuft.

There's a ton of unclimbed good granite in Bolivia but you have to know where to find it.

Quimsa Cruz is pretty well known:
