Anyone have any beta on conditions in the Grunge Couloir on Timpanogas?

(Would also be open to speculation on conditions in the absence of actual knowledge.)

We did it three weeks ago before traversing the whole ridge. The couloir itself was in great condition at the time, but that was 5-6 days after a fairly substantial storm. Snow was consolidated and we sank in 4-6 " the whole way up. Didn't even seem much steeper at the very top. The hardest part was probably approaching the couloir up the big snow slope before -- lots of postholing until we stuck to a wet avalanche slide path.

Everything but the very top is shaded, so snow conditions will depend on temps mainly. This is the right time of year so I'd say give'r a go.

Were you with Sam? Was the road to the Timpooneke trailhead in American Fork Canyon open?
