Anyone have any info on how bad this fire is? I just read 4,500 acres and 0% containment. Sad news, hoping for the best.

Looks like the overlook is getting cooked...

Unless I am misreading the map at the link, it appears that the fire is south of the climbing at the overlook. I am a little high, so I could be totally wrong. Flagstaff peeps, any word on if this is going to impact the climbing at the overlook or in the canyon? Regardless of how this impacts climbing, this sucks. Oak Creek Canyon, despite being overused during the summer, is a beautiful place and I am sad to think about it burning.

Map's aren't being updated super frequently I think that one was released maybe around 2pm. Probably going to be several climbing areas closed for several months because of this.

looks like the overlook and some other areas were in the path of the fire.

Overlook is spared thus far.
