Week of June 14th - 22nd, what types of temps can I expect? Is is easy enough to chase shade?

I'll chime in on chasing shade. Yes its pretty easy to chase. Just have a couple options in mind if your shady routes are taken. Almost every feature has a sunny and shady side with routes. We were there at the end of Aug and it was toasty in the sun but shaded areas were quite nice.

Main critical item is to get a campsite with shade. Easy to chase shade in the City but it your campsite bakes all day it could suck.

Almost all major formations at the City are oriented on a north-south axis..

climb west early - siseta - climb east late

+1 for shady campsite

Not ripping you a new one here at all, but is the use of the word "too" out of style? I spose I should look it up in Websters or something.

I've done trips there around that time and some days can be sweltering but some days very nice. Like everyone else said chasing shade is easy but getting camping in the shade may be difficult. Do you need partners for your trip? PM me.

No it should not be too hot...but then again I live in Texas and there are very few places that I would consider too hot in June.

I have been in CoR in June and had it snow on us for days. I would worry more about too many people than it being too hot.

Headed their Sunday- Thursday in early June. Will this help avoid a majority of the crowds ????

The place is generally quite empty during the weekdays.

Afternoon thundershowers are pretty normal there that time of year, too. Get up early, chase shade, take rain breaks, you'll have a great time.

Sunday -> Thursday place is way quiet... if it gets really hot - drive to oakley (30 minutes) and take a dip in the irrigation ditch that flows thru town - totally refreshing - then come back for the late afternoon 'sesh
