Climing Partner for the gunks 5/26 - 6/3

I (32 years / 73kg) will visit New Haven for about two weeks. During this time I want to climb in the gunks for one week and maybe other rocks nearby. The dates will be around 5/26 to 6/3. Therefore I am looking for a climbing partner who is experienced in rock climbing (lead), most suitable someone who also knows that area. In any case an experienced climber who is interested in secure climbing not pushing the boundaries to its limits.

I am already climbing for eight years in climbing halls on maximum level 5.11b (or VIII- in UIAA). In the past years I also made experiences with rock climbing, knowing that I prefer being careful in nature instead of taking too much risk. It's supposed to be a fun trip we can enjoy!

Hi Laurens, sounds like we're like minded with regards to climbing interests. May/June is a long way off but I should be around and still climbing at the Gunks (eventually I head north to the Adirondacks to avoid the gunks summer hordes). Give me a shout a few weeks prior to arrival and we can make more solid arrangements. Private message/email me through the forum and I'll reply with pertinent info. Even if we don't climb maybe I can help with some details for trip planning :).

Although I'm still available, I've emailed Laurens that our attention has turned north to the ADKs (Gunks have gotten too busy too fast this year for our tastes). He may still be looking for some Gunks partners for May 31, June 1, and June 2. Community - time to step up and be an international climbing ambassador! ;)

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
