Traveling through colorado and interested in running up a long easy route with a day or two along my way. I have some freedom in area and after a bit of research, Wham ridge and the Mohling traverse have caught my eye. Anyone have info or thoughts on spring snow conditions in these areas or other routes that might be more feasible this time of year? Thanks!
re; Mohling traverse- I doubt that you can get there right now. Both the east or west approaches are most likely under a ton of snow. And the west (Cascade creek)stays pretty wet year-round, even up high. Give it another month. As to the route itself, better Eat yer Wheaties!! Have Fun!!
