My buddy and I are planning on doing some practice runs setting up a portaledge this weekend. And I was wondering what are some good routes to practice aid on and set up a portaledge?
Cheers!

I've been practicing aid on Practice Rock and Thunderdome at Easter Rock. Not sure about how good these would be for setting up a portaledge. I hear people also practice aid on Country Club Crack at Castle Rock. If you were gonna do that you'd have to make sure you weren't holding up to many badasses trying to free it :D

country club is good because its steep but i agree that prefernce/first crack should go to people trying to free it. anything thats steep would work well but a definite key to having a stable place for a ledge is that the wall should be fairly clean and almost vertical. It doesn't have to be tall either. Maybe the gill crack anchor on castle rock or something up on blob like the short cliff with 3 cracks. have fun

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
