I thought responding to this would be a good opportunity to clarify two things for anyone else interested: (1) I'm only incorporating outdoor footage for this, and (2) I'm looking for people to submit their own footage as opposed to youtube links. While gym climbing is fun in its own right, the aesthetic of an outdoor climbing video becomes off balance when gym videos are thrown in there. It's not that I don't like indoor climbing, it's just not right for this project. On the youtube bit: part of the fun of this project is that people can submit video of themselves. I could probably troll through youtube and find video. I believe there's even a program that would allow me to rip video straight from the site, but that's not how I'm rolling for this project. I like the idea of working with the people filming. Make sense? |
