A huge rockfall happened this morning, basically destroying the green acres wall except a few climbs. Pretty scary to think of all the times I climbed those routes without realizing how destabilized the entire cliff was!
The remaining routes. (As well as the new one). See Sandy Epeldi's book (pg 110) for a picture of the wall before it fell. Everything between The Garden and Feelin Green has been destroyed.

The remaining routes. (As well as the new one). See Sandy Epeldi's book (pg 110) for a picture of the wall before it fell. Everything between The Garden and Feelin Green has been destroyed.
Getting to the crag. From the parking lot, wander along the rim trail until you see this turnoff. The crag is on the foot trail just past the sign.
If you need help orienting yourself. Green acres can easily be seen as the crag just above the dam, with the huge recent rockfall.
The whole crag pretty much collapsed and slid down the hillside. Definitely makes me wonder about the rest of the black cliffs, that wall didn't even strike me as one of the sketchy ones.
