i'm in the denver area for about another week or so, then off to cali or vegas because i've committed to climbing in red rocks may 9th 10th 11th with a friend flying in from boston whose climbing partner bailed on him. i'll definitely be coming back through the denver front range area sometime after that. on a bit of a walkabout. experienced my first bit of colorado climbing yesterday at eldorado. bastille crack... all four (not sure there are supposed to be that many which is why i'm visiting the mtn proj site) pitches to the summit then the walk-off. went on my climbing (bouldering) friend's word as to the grade and route and walk-off bit. lead all four bits. built gear anchors when what i was told would be bolt anchors. unexpectedly, my knack for route finding seems not so keen after thems shenanigans. adventure bits for sure. though another awesome day of climbing nonetheless. i'm a slow is smooth, smooth is fast, or better yet, safe is slow, slow is smooth... basically, i want to live to climb another day. i'm totally not comfortable taking unnecessary risks. my partner's hardness of grade doesn't concern me/ garner any bonus points. their smoothness, safety, and skilled technique does. alrighty then, balsa wood soapbox rant compete. sorry for the verboseness. i'm really looking to get out and climb thurs, fri, possibly sun, and definitely mon. let me know. oh, and i have a triple rack to #4, as well as a #5 and #6. sadly though, only two 60 meters, no 70.
