There's a good one on the south side of Paris. It's called Fontainebleau.

I've never climbed in Paris. Need to be clear about whether your looking for bouldering or longer climbs. In my small experience, more than half the indoor climbing gyms in France are bouldering only - (the French word is "bloc").
Like here's some website claiming a new bouldering gym: HardBloc
and another pair of bouldering gyms: Block'Out

Here's a list of climbing gyms (French phrase is "salle d'escalade"):

I've at least heard of the MurMur gyms.
- ("mur" is the French word for wall).

Note that many French non-bouldering gyms are heavily oriented toward sport Leading (French "grimper a tete") -- not Top-Roping like many American gyms. But recently I noticed that Mur de Lyon (a big gym nowhere near Paris) is shifting more toward TR (French word is "moulinette").

Also you typically bring your belay device (and perhaps your own rope, though most non-bouldering gyms will rent you a rope, and at least one supplies them free).

Be interested to hear what you find, and your impressions of French indoor gyms.

Yes, that is salle with with two "l". Not to be confused with "sale", par exemple, les grimpeurs sales, which you will see plenty of too. Esp. in Fontainebleau :P

Block Out (either of the two) is good if you want a bouldering gym. Either of the two Murmurs are good if you want a lead wall. They will rent you rope and everything, but it is not cheap. Roc & Résine is the cheapest and has good crowd if you are looking for strong climbers to partner up for a weekend.

I agree with Adam: if weather dry, definitely go to Bleau.
Be careful, "sale" means dirty but "salle" means room or hall
French speak about "salle d'escalade", "escalade indoor" or "SAE" (structure artificielle d'escalade). You can check the lists: ffme.fr/site/sae.html

I heard hardbloc.fr is great.
Good climb!

Seems like this might be the right place to add on to this question. I'm looking to buy a crash pad for a upcoming Font trip, is there a recommended climbing shop or gym? Going to be staying in Marais district/area, any climbing shops around there? Thanks!

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
