The Gear Closet

Ya know how on a wall, you have all the extra gear in a pack or stuffed into the top of the haul bags? You know how awkward and time consuming it is to get into that pile of gear to get a specific piece without dropping something else?

Well, I've invented the Gear Closet!

The Gear Closet is made from Metolius Ledge bag material and has a zipper down its side. The gear hangs from a multi loop daisy inside the bag. The bag will hang below your haul bag on a tether cord. When you need a piece of gear, simply pull up the Closet, clip it to the anchor somewhere, zip it open, grab what you need, zip it back up and drop it down!

Easy, simple, clean and light.

I'm no big-waller but looks great! Seems a lot easier to have it separated like that....

Hudon and Jeremy are the best. Dozens of tips and countless stoke from those two over the years.

Nice Mark! I'll have to post pics of mine, been using one for years. Flyn Brian showed me someone made out of haulbag material on our first climb together. He called it the gear taco. We put it on a daisy and just hauled it on the outside of the bags (with the daisy it rode on the bottom of the bags). I use it on any nailup type route where the rack is mondo. Hit the anchor, pull up the taco, open it up on the anchor (had tabs to keep it open) and voila all the rack you need. I made mine out of an old backpack, worked good while on the wall for 10 days in zion.

Cheers
Kurt Burt
