29 March 2014. Found a climbing guidebook near Marauding Monkeys at Mt. Gorgeous, Malibu Creek State Park. Message me saying what book it is and we'll figure out how to get it back to you.

Hi David,

I lost the book. It was the new so cal guidebook. The guy I was climbing with gave it to me as a gift that morning. I think it was called Southern California Rock Climbing By Tom Slater, but there is a possibility that I could be wrong. I can tell you this for sure, Malibu Creek Started on page 200.
If you want more proof I'm the same guy you saw at the crag, I can tell you that I was there climbing Delicious and the girls in your group were;
1. The Asian chick with the shoulder to shoulder Eagle tatoo and chinese characters on her left arm that are symbols for "Little Dragon Girl"
2. The blond chick who is about to start med school.
3. the other blond chick with a "Sender 1" tag on her harness... Cris Sharma's Gym who made it to the crux of the 5.11 to the right of Delicious and then came down.

I ran all the way back to the crag and another party that was there tipped me off that you were gonna post it on Mountain Project. That was really nice of you. Thanks

I'll send you my personal info in an email.

Not a scam. Not a Bogus thread. The details speak for themself.

Yeah, not a scam. Not sure how this thread could even be construed as a scam, or why Chaunders even cares, being from Idaho and all. Anyways UltimateReality, the book is on its way. No need to reimburse me; it was only a few dollars. Just pay it forward to someone else down the line. Cheers.

Great scam cover up. Mods, please make a note on these users profiles that they have been accused of foul play and possible equipment theft.

Please make a note that Chaunders has been accused of violating forum Guideline #1. :) Go climbing Chaunders, everything is kosher here.

Wow thanks Dave. You are my hero. It is really nice to be surprised by your effort to get the book back to me. I was sure that book was as good as gone.
And Maurice thanks for the laugh! Your addition to my reunion with my New So Cal guide was entertaining. Took me till the third comment to fully apreciate your humor, but I think I get it now. Keep Climbing!

Again Dave.... You're the man! Maybe we'll cross paths at Malibu again!

Last time I got called out for being a jerk, I was telling someone who had inquired about free camping in Malibu to beat it, ala Big Lebowski. Saw this post and couldn't resist. Glad you got your stuff back
Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
