How crowded will Red Rock be during the rendevous?

I've never climbed at red rock, but was thinking of making the trip this weekend until I saw that this weekend is the Red Rock Rendevous. I'd like to get on some of the easy-moderate trad classics - how will the Rendevous affect that? Basically trying to figure if I should fight through the hordes, or wait until I have another free weekend.

If you said you wanted to do hard, obscure routes, you'd have no problems. But easy-moderate classics? Well, it's all relative:

As crowded as the Gunks on any given weekend? No.
As crowded as the Boulder Rock Club Thursday after work? No.
As crowded as the most popular crag in Flagstaff on the nicest day of the year? Yes. 10x more crowded.

Will it be 10x harder to get on 5.7-5.8 classics compared to a weekend in late April? Or only slightly harder?

3.1415% harder.

Just plan to drink beer and talk about climbing rather than actually doing it.

Usually, during the actual weekend of the RRR, the canyons are pretty empty, even on the trade routes. A few years ago I climbed Bourbon Street the Saturday of the RRR and we were the only ones on whiskey peak.

yup 10X. i was there mid week last week and we were waiting in line before/during on olive oil and dark shadows. campground was full midweek. apparently every college student was on spring break and at RR. it sounds like there is a 3 week window of various spring breaks happening so based on what i experienced last wednesday and thursday, this weekend with the rendezvous will be a fustercluck ;)

I'll bet NE Arete of Bridge Mountain won't be crowded. It is a fine outing that takes most of a day if you have 4WD, and don't mind the spectacular 2 hour hike from Red Rock Summit.

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
