I'm trying to figure out where the best destinations would be for me to get out and spend a couple of months bummin and climbing this coming fall. I need to go like dirt cheap and to a place with a sweet climbing community with good climbing during the fall season. Also cheap camping/places to stay. Any ideas??

Easy one! Or is this a troll...?? just drive west. Theres bound to be good weather somewhere in Utah, Nevada, south cali, even washington is spillter in the fall... anywhere along the eastern sierras. I wouldn't plan it out too much, just follow the weather. Why are you asking now, spring climbing is just starting! if its bad weather in california (doubt it) try arizona. just get out of colorado springs...

One could say this about this post as well....after all everybody knows that the RRG and the NRG are the best fall crags....it's THE season for east coast climbers!

You can go west and climb in Utah, Nevada, Cali all year round and have splitter weather.....you don't get cool, DRY 60 degree days between June-August in Kentucky or West Virginia....that there weather is strictly reserved for Sept, Oct, and a lot of Nov.

Also Miguels is $2 a night and would more than likely provide you with a job for the season (read free camping to yell out peoples orders)

Want somewhere somewhat low-key? Head out to Smith Rock State Park in Central Oregon. Cheap/Free camping, great weather, and during the week the park clears out a bit so you'll only have to compete with other dirtbaggers for routes. The approaches are short, like less than 15 minutes to some stellar, world-class routes. Single/multi-pitch, Sport, Trad, Aid, Top-rope, you name it Smith has it!
Good Luck!

RRG in KY or NRG in WV- both are great until mid November when it starts getting brisk. Then head to the southwest- Red Rocks, Cochise, Hueco Tanks, etc, etc.
